Obituary of Margaret Theresa Myatt

Margaret Theresa Myatt of Burlington, formerly of Tallahassee FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, October 23, 2016. She was 97 years old. Theresa was a native of Nova Scotia Canada. She was born in L'ardoise Cape Breton ,Nova Scotia Canada in 1919. Theresa was the youngest of 15 children. She married her husband Cyril in 1940. The family moved from Dartmouth Nova Scotia to Woburn in 1957. Later the family moved to Miami Florida in 1961 and later to Port Charlotte and Tallahassee where she lived with her husband Cyril and later her daughter Dorothy. At the age of 97 she came to Burlington to live with her daughter Judy. Theresa, as she was called, was active in church choirs over the years where her husband was the organist at Mass. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and Great grandmother. Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Cyril. Loving mother of Dorothy Brockmeier of Tallahassee FL, Judith Sweeney & her husband Dan of Burlington, Susan Myatt and John Myatt both of Miami, FL, and the late Margaret McGrath and Paul & Stephen Myatt. Mother-in-law of Emmett McGrath of Canada. Grandmother of Neal, Christopher, Scott, Cyril, Barbara & Theresa Brockmeier, Elissa Fiedler, Jason, Jeffrey & Troy Myatt and Jacqueline Rubio Myatt all of FL, Tracy Myatt Thomas of VA, David Myatt of OR, Sean Sweeney of Chatham, Daniel & Lawrence Sweeney of Burlington, Stephen McGrath of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Maureen McGrath Porters Lake Nova Scotia and the late Leon Brockmeier Great Grandmother of Sarah, Daniel, James, Jade, Dale, Devin Ann, & Jayme Sweeney of Burlington ,Ryan & Luke Sweeney of Chatham. Lana & Bruce Myatt, FL., Blake, Carson , Brodie, Noah, Emily, William, James, John Martin, Madeline , Justine, Levi ,Matthew Abigail all of FL , Madeline “Maddie”, Thomas, Josie & Ryan of Nova Scotia, deceased infants Casey and Dean, Brian Michael. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington on Thursday, October 27th at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
