It is with sadness that we write this message. Carol and I send our condolences to George's children, and Dot, and Dianne. Shirley, Betty, Cliff and I have many fond memories of growing up with George. He had a great sense of humor, and lots of friends. I particularly enjoyed playing football at Burlington High School when George quarterbacked the team. George was a member of our wedding party in 1961. We have great memories of Holidays at our mother and dad's home on Francis Wyman Road, as well as the memories of parties for birthday celebrations, graduations, and many informal coffee times. It was great that George was able to travel from Florida to enjoy our Skelton Family Reunion party two summers ago. It was a birthday celebration for him as well. I know that he enjoyed it.
George will continue to be part of our lives, in thought, as he peacefully rests. It's really difficult to lose one's brother, and especially difficult for his children to lose their Dad.
Our heartfelt sympathy.
Jerry and Carol

Dear Skelton family A few weeks ago, I heard that George had passed but never found a death notice. As I was sadly searching for the death notice of Al Wilde, I noticed one for George. I have not seen or had any contact with George for many years, but I have always fondly remembered him as one of the "older guys" in Burlington High School and along with Al and others, I admired them all for their leadership and kindness to us "younger guys". George was a great guy and athlete and I was gratified to learn he was recently enrolled in the Hall of Athletic Fame at the High School.
George and his family were part of the original fabric of Burlington and their passing leaves a large hole in the Town's history. Please accept our sincere prayers and best wishes for you all in these moments of sorrow. Ed and Chris Cass, Stillwater, Mn.
