I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this, and missed the services in December. Al, or Mr. Wilde as I knew him when he was my Guidance Counselor at Burlington High in 91'-92', was incredibly influential in my success as an adult. He embraced my somewhat lofty dreams to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force, and did everything he could to help me get accepted into the Air Force Academy. I'm convinced to this day that he pulled some strings that I'll never know of, as I was a bit of a long shot, but it resulted in a dream coming true, and tremendous success that I owed to him! He's on to bigger and better things now, but I'd be remiss if I didn't say a heart felt "thank you" to anyone in the family who may read this note. He was a great and influential man in my life, and someone I'll never forget!

I awoke to the sad news that Coach Wilde had passed. Although I haven't seen him in decades, I carried his life lessons with me the rest of my life. I became a public school teacher and learned much from him as in treating young people with compassion and sincerity. Coach Wilde even made August double-session football practices fun with his stories and bantering with both coaches and players. It was always an honor passing him in the hallways as he would greet you with, "Hello brother." R.I. P. Coach Wilde.

Our hearts and our prayers are with you all. ' Cousin Al', has always been and will always be such a big part of our lives-sharing in our moments of pure joy and being right there for us when we needed his gentle caring most. Many people come in and out of our lives, few leave us with the gift of unconditional love, support and caring-as he did. As he so often said to us, ' God Bless' . He will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. All our love, The Killilea and Richmond Families

I was saddened to learn of Al's death. He was a colleague for many years at Burlington High School. He was also a good friend. During the complicated process of filling out forms for aid for my two daughters going to college, he was an expert on the subject. He was well respected and will be missed by many. Rest in Peace, Al.
