Obituary of Therese Michel
Therese Michel, a woman devoted to her family and her faith, passed away at her home on Friday morning, December 23, 2016. The beloved wife of 64 years to Joseph E. Michel, she was 92 years old.
Therese was born and raised in Haiti. She helped her husband work on the family farm but her primary role was mother to her 6 children. Therese had a nurturing nature and was a mother to everyone. Always looking to be there for her children and their friends when they were younger. She was a woman of deep faith and very devoted to her catholic faith. She was very involved in her church while living in Haiti. In 2010 Haiti was hit with a catastrophic earthquake and Therese and Joseph lost everything. So they moved to the United States to live with their daughter Magalie in Burlington and to be close to their daughter Mary who lived in Bedford.
Therese is survived by her husband Joseph E. Michel. She was the loving mother of Fred Michel of Haiti, Marie Desert of Bedford, Francois Michael of FL, Magalie Medar of Burlington, Dieuseul Antoine, Elsie Michel of NY and Alix Merone of Haiti. Therese was the beloved grandmother of 13. She was also predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Funeral from the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7:45 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
