It is with great sadness and a sense of some shock that I have been advised of Eric's passing.
We became acquainted in 2005 when we started working together in Chelmsford, a short time before his retirement.
Eric was a unique individual, and he loved the golfing - imagine my surprise and pleasure to discover that he and his good wife had actually played a round at Royal Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland - Portrush being my home town, which I had left many years previously to come to live in America.
He had many interesting stories to relate, connected to his upbringing, his family and his work. A wonderfully gifted scientist with a great sense of humor, he was an overall decent human being. His love for his family ran still and deep.
Unfortunately I am unable to come to MA to see him off since I am residing out of state.
It has been good getting to know you Eric, and I wish you and yours all the very best.

Eric will be remembered by so many people - family, friends, neighbors and business associates. He loved to tell stories, take photos and make us all laugh. He was so special to his grand daughters. Joan, my love and prayers go out to you and your whole extended family. I will be thinking of you in the days and weeks ahead.

We are sending our sincere condolences to Joan and all of the Zinks for Eric's passing. I remember all of the great stories Eric shared with everyone last year in Round Pond, Maine, about the summers he spent with family there. Eric has fostered a wonderful and strong legacy through both his family and his work, which will always carry onward. With much love, Joanna Zink Tarrazi and George Tarrazi

I don`t even know where to begin-----I first saw Eric shortly after he was born in 1943. I`ve known him longer than anyone on this planet. Eric has to be the steadiest and most focused person
that I have ever met. One wife, one job, one house. Determined to be the best golfer in our family even though he did not learn to play until he was past 50. He will be missed by everyone in the Zink and Ringer families as well as his friends.
Love and eternal peace from the family of Ed and Roena Zink, Yarmouth, Maine.
