Johanna,
My girlfriend,my girlfriend. You were the first friend I made when Joe and I moved into this wonderful neighborhood. I remember walking up to "The Corner" with Joey and Steve. You smiled at me and said "HI'. I was so excited and thought- I've found a friend. Indeed I did for 45 Years.Remember when you Kerrin and I would galavant- You'd help her into the car and say "Come on Big Girl get in." One day Kerrin at 3 or4 years decided to help you and said O. K. Big Girl get in. I was mortified. You laughed- heartily.
We can never forget our trips to Boston Theatres with Marie, the night you Ethel and me made piccalli- Boy Joe and Bob were not happy with us.
Most recently we shared thoughts about death and dying. How you worried about Bob and Maria,your children grandchildren and your beloved brother Karl.
I had the privilege of bringing you the Eucharist. You amazed me with the intensity you absorbed the Body of Christ. Also offering up your suffering to someone who really needed this grace. Frankly I couldn't think of anyone who needed it more than you.
You have walked The Way of the Cross. God will welcome you with open arms.
