My sister Pat will be greatly missed by a lot of people. She was a big part of my life through the years and a source of love and understanding. She was always there for me through my childhood and adult life. She was a loving single mother and her children came first. When I was younger I didn’t realize how much she gave up for her family and how willingly she did it. She always had a smile(if you can call a straight line with her lips held tightly together a smile) but she made up for it with her laugh. She was the sister that was the glue that kept all her siblings together. When Doreen and I went on vacation she would come with us. We called her the “kid” because sometimes she required a lot of attention. She wasn’t a saint (but who is], she had that Fournier stubbornness and sometimes displayed it to the dismay of all of us. She was a diabetic for most of her adult life but never quite got the hang of it. The stories are endless of her “lows” but everyone who knew her carried candy and sugar tablets because she never did. She was a big part of my three daughters and grandchildren lives. They all called her Auntie Pat and always enjoyed her laughter. She was always a big part of my family gatherings and will be sorely missed. We had a lot of joy and laughter with her and I’m sure she is still sharing it in Heaven with all her friends and family. My only regret is I didn’t see her as much when we stopped being snowbirds but we did see her every time we were up North. We made sure we had our annual fried food dinner at Blue Marlin. I will miss her but am glad she is at a better place and finally doesn’t need to take her insulin. Love and miss you. Your little brother Paul
