Obituary of Lester Buzz'' Treworgy
Lester C. “Buzz” Treworgy passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, with his family by his side, on Saturday morning, February 11, 2017. The beloved husband of Sue Ann (Carrigan) for 43 years he was 72 years old.
Buzz was born in Boston. He was the son of the late Lester and Dorothy Treworgy. As a child his family moved to Billerica and he was a 1962 graduate of Billerica High School. Buzz went on to have a successful career as a Photographer working at Raytheon in the Missile Division for 33 years.
Buzz had a passion for sailing and he even took Sue out sailing for their first date. They married in 1973 and moved to Burlington in 1973 where they were raise their two children. Buzz loved the outdoors and being near the water. They family vacationed at Old Orchard Beach in Maine as well as Newfound Lake, Lake Winnisquam and Hampton Beach. Buzz liked to do anything that had to do with the outdoors whether it was fishing, skiing, sailing or golfing.
Buzz’s life was all about his family. He had a wonderful close relationship with his two children Amy and Todd to the extent that Buzz was Todd’s “Best Man” in his wedding. In celebration of Buzz and Sue’s 30th Wedding Anniversary Amy and Todd sent their parents on a trip to Bermuda. Buzz enjoyed being with people and entertaining. He loved to have fun and had an awesome sense of humor. Nothing pleased him more than to have family and friends to his home, enjoy the backyard pool and cook his famous “Buzzy Burgers”. He was also a very generous man always giving to others. Buzz had a positive outlook on life. He did not let his illness slow him down nor did he ever complain about it. He was a proud and fun grandfather to his seven grandchildren. Buzz will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Buzz was the beloved husband of Sue-Ann (Carrigan). He was the loving father Amy Mileikis & her husband John of Auburn, ME and Todd Treworgy & his wife Amy of Burlington. Proud grandfather of Emma, Ryan, Casey & Audrey Mileikis and Sean, Kate and Jack Treworgy. Brother of Patricia Biron & her husband Sherm Lahaie of Scarborough, ME. Uncle of Christine and Joel Biron of Dunstable.
A Celebration of Buzz’s life will be held at the Café Escadrille, 26 Cambridge St., Burlington on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 2-4 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Buzz’s name may be made to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Road, Suite 301, Framingham, MA 01701.
