I volunteer for the House Rabbit Network and got to work with her when Stacey served as the shelter manager. It was clear to me how much she cared about the bunnies. She was a cheerful and respected colleague. A few years ago I took my two bunnies for a check up at MSPCA Angell West and was delighted to see Stacey working the front desk; it was nice to catch up. I am grateful I have that memory of her: smiling and happy to be helping animals and their families. My heart goes out to Stacey's family and friends. She is gone much too soon.

I wanted to write in honor of Stacy's beautiful spirit... She and I share some things in common-- we both grew up in Burlington. There's something about Burlington people- we share an eternal sense of community. We both love animals from the depths of our souls. I am so grateful for the beauty and care that Stacy has bestowed upon the people and creatures in her life. And, I am grateful for the beautiful energy she is sending from Heaven. Blessings to her beloved partner and to her family and friends.

God put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you on your way. Although you were loved dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart (towards people and animals) stopped beating, and your beautiful smile we will no longer see. Our hearts are broken but He only takes the best. You will be missed and always remembered.

When you stood up and spoke at my wedding reception, you said, "Friends are the family you choose." We were as close as sisters. You were my coach, confidante, fashion consultant. I could rant, cry, swear like a sailor -- you always listened to me. I could tell you anything, knowing you'd be on my side. We were there for each other without fail when times got rough.
I only got a few short years with you, but every single moment we had was meaningful and wonderful to me. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without you. We were supposed to be old ladies together. You were my very best friend. I miss you, and I love you very much.

I still can not believe that god has added you to his list of angles. And taken you away so soon.
It broke my heart that there was nothing I could do, in your time of need. I love you so much my sweet Mina.
I made a promise to your mom that I will do all I can to look after her. And help her care for the fur babies. They miss you just as much as all of us do. I owe it you to be there as you would have been.
You touched me so deeply with your character and spirit. Your caring and kind words you would always have for me.
I will never forget our time here together. I know you are truly with me everyday.
I shed my many tears in sorrow and in joy of our time spent here together. Oh hopes and dreams together had been shattered into
A million pieces. Your memory and our love with remain with me forever.
I LoveYou Always and Forever
Stacy Jennifer Schmidt. Your Wings were Ready / But My Heart Was Not.

As a former spouse, Stacy was a very close part of my life for over 9 years. She aleays cared for those close around her and shared such passion and heart toward her close friends, family and especially animals. Guinea pigs Rocky, Reba, Ernie, Bertie, Gunter, Teddy, Phoenix, and Pooh; Rabbits Snuggles and her beloved Mina and lastly her special runt-of-the-litter Josie. You touched them all. R.I.P. Stacy...may you reconnect with the furry souls of the past.
Love, Marc

It is with such a heavy heart that I write this message. Stacy was my cousin. My husband Rich and I are praying for my Aunt Barbara who has lost so much these past months. I am grateful she found Jay to bring her happiness and pray for his sadness as well. Stacy now joins my cousin Peter who died two years ago. Both died suddenly and far too young.
