Obituary of Theodore Bibeau
Theodore Stanley Bibeau of Ormond Beach, FL passed after a brief, but dignified battle with cancer on February 21, 2017. Born January 24, 1937 to Theodore Albert Bibeau and Helen (Francouer) Bibeau of Cambridge, MA. Ted was raised in Cambridge, MA and was a 1955 graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. He was a US Army veteran, serving in Korea 1957-58 and honorably discharged in 1961. He joined the Cambridge Fire Department in 1966, earned his associates degree in Fire Science from Middlesex Community College in 1977, and served the City of Cambridge for 32 years rising to the rank of Captain. Ted was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Frank Bibeau and Richard Bibeau, both of Cambridge. Ted was also predeceased by Priscilla Orfao Bibeau, his wife of 46 years. Ted and Priscilla were residents of the Town of Burlington for 45 years. He was a proud and supportive father and grandfather. He was a lifetime member of the Burlington Knights of Columbus and a member of the Billerica Elks. Ted is survived by his children John and his wife Karen of Danvers, MA, Steven of N. Billerica, MA, Kevin and his wife Vilma of Andover, MA, and Theodore and his wife Stephanie of Boston, MA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Julia, John Michael Jr, Priscilla, Linda, and Patricia. Prior to his passing Ted expressed his gratitude for his Florida companion Patricia Smock, members of his MA and FLA golf leagues, and his Ormond Beach Moose Club friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., BURLINGTON on Friday, February 24 at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ted’s name may be made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498.
