Dear Donna and Hannah - Though a late note of sincere sympathy, I am reading this today, May 27th, 2013, for the first time. I was remembering my Mum who passed from cancer also and thought of you both (and John) - as I do almost everyday. We lost touch but I pray that we can rekindle a light of closeness through our late Mother's, who are looking down at us .... with approval. I love you Donna. I love you Hannah.I really wish I had met your Mom. Blessings Always, Sally 978 - 602 -0800

Alice, you were the definition of a true friend and neighbor. When you moved away a few years ago, we were very saddened to see you go. You were like a grandmother to my children and, of course, my dog, Kobe. Alice, you had such a kind and generous heart and above all a great sense of humor. The world has lost a great human being.
Alice, rest easy. You will be truly missed.

Little did I know that the day I met Alice would be one of the luckiest days of my life. It seems impossible that our friendship was just 5 years young; from the beginning we shared lifetimes of love and laughter. The phrase "my new friend Alice" quickly turned to "my Dear Friend Alice". You'll forever be a part of my heart and my smile!
Love Always,to you, Sandy, Donna, Hannah and Bob,

I met Alice at the Lowery organ store in Burlington about 10 years ago. After the store moved away, six of us decided we could get together and practice on our keyboards on our own. It worked out really well, and we quickly became good friends. We often socialized more than we practiced. When we met at Alice's, she served her delicious homemade goodies at teatime. She was always the life of the party. Her pride and joy was her beautiful granddaughter, Hannah. She looked forward so much to Hannah's visits. It's so hard to believe that Alice is gone. She was so full of life and always had a smile on her face. We all miss her terribly. Our get-togethers will never be the same!!

Sandie, Donna & Stevie, As I read through all the postings left in your mother's honor, one really caught my eye. The nickname "Hollywood". How fitting. I remember driving up Phillip Ave on my way to my parents house in the spring and summer and there was Alice "Ma" doing her yardwork. I would toot my horn, she would wave and I would say to myself, she could take off those darn gardening gloves and jump into her car and go out to dinner at a fine restaurant. That was Alice. But she was more than that. I must say, in all the years I have known her, I never saw her without a smile, (OK maybe once or twice while Sandie and I and the other girls were in high school) on her face and she never had an unkind word for anyone. All of us can only hope our lives will be so fulfilling and happy! Alice "Ma", thanks for taking me in on a particular night in 1971. Love you, and as others have said, you are bringing class to the heavens above. RIP. Love you, Maryellen

So sorry to hear of Alice's passing.
Alice was such an inspiring woman.
I met Alice at the Organ classes in Burlington.
From the day I met her I could tell she was a kind and caring woman, and she would be a lifetime friend.
She made everyone around her feel comfortable.
She always looked great.
She was always smiling and willing to help anyone who need to be helped.
Before the lessons(sometimes even during) we all loved to hear her talk of the places she went on vacation and the things she did.
She talked about her wonderful family and her special man Bob.
We will all miss you Alice.
My prayers are with you and your family
God Bless You
Love Lorraine

To the family of Alice Eastman;
Alice will be remembered with loving thoughts by all who knew her. Always a Laugh, a Kind Word or a Joke to make us laugh along with her. We met at the North Shore Old Car Club. We had many wonderful times in Nova Scotia, get to gethers, club functions, sitting around antique cars and swapping history and chit chat.
Alice was outstanding. Always perfectly groomed, a big smile on her lovely face, and a heart big enough to share with everyone. We will remember you as long as we live. Thank you for the memories.

With tears, I just finished reading what was written by Alice's daughter(s). She was truly every positive attribute mentioned and more. Alice touched me in such a special way. She has been my inspiration and such a role model on how to grow older in such a terrific way. I feel I learned so much from her. She was: young in dress, young in attitude, young in spirit, and young at heart and love.
I met Alice at a Keyboard class here in Burlington. She brought warmth, fun, and laughter to class. When the formal class ended, Alice graciously welcomed us into her home for practices and delicious treats. She would have a yummy home-baked treat waiting for us and some to take home if we wanted. I loved getting recipes from her. The two I will always associate with her are her marinated raisins (to eliminate pain) and the Sangria recipe (a bit strong but so-o good!). Her love for life was so great and she wanted to share it with all as she did with her many humorous emails.
Last Friday when I visited Alice as she lay crying in her hospital bed, she was able to get up the strength to say, "I Love You." I will forever treasure that and the many wonderful practices, conversations, and visits we spent together!
Heaven is going to be a bit more blessed with Alice!

Alice was a fun, fantastic and fabulous lady. She had such a spark! I was so blessed to have worked with her at the Burlington Board of Health. We shared a love of Greek food and a love of laughter. Alice pulled the best prank on me one Halloween which to this day is still one of the funniest moments of my life. I thank her for that feeling of pure joy. Imagine being able to provide that gift? I wish everyone could have an Alice in their lives. I'm so lucky to have known her!
