Following his passion for automobiles and his drive to have his own business, he founded Cheryl Motor’s, a car dealership, in the early sixties. A few years later he opened a Shell Gas Station in Burlington Center with his brother Bob and the two brothers subsequently opened up Peter Piper’s Pools in Billerica, MA.

Due to David's determination, drive, and instinctive business acumen there were many real estate successes. He had such a passion for real estate that he remained active in his business until his death.
David pursued his love of horses and shared it enthusiastically with his children throughout their childhood traveling together as a family to 4H horse shows and the Appaloosa circuit. David relished a passion for boating with his family and friends, cruising throughout the New England coast, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and in Florida in his later years. There were many fun adventures to be had. He had a lifelong love of motor homing. With his wife, Maura, and their dogs, he criss crossed the country and visited with his West Coast relatives.
For the past 22 years, David shared a joyful marriage with Maura. They treasured a connection as soulmates that was rare and wonderful. David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had the utmost respect and appreciation for his parents. In 2016, David was visiting the Burlington Police Department and noticed that his father's photograph was not displayed on the wall honoring all the Police Chiefs of the Town of Burlington. A special ceremony was held in September of 2016 honoring his father and placing his photo in its rightful place.
