Obituary of Rose Flanagan
Rose R. (Fennell) Flanagan, passed away at the Belmont Manor Nursing Center on Friday evening, August 26, 2011. The beloved wife of 57 years of the late James J. Flanagan who passed away in 2005, she was 93 years old.
Rose was born, raised and educated in Lowell. She was the youngest of 11 children born to the late William and Bridget Fennell. Rose and her husband lived in Tewksbury for a number of years before settling in Burlington in 1963 where she lived until moving to Arlington in recent years. Rose devoted her life to her home and her family. She loved being a mom to her children and a grandmother to her two granddaughters. Rose enjoyed reading and she was a collector of china which she displayed in her home. Rose was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was blessed to live a life that spanned 93 years.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late James J. Flanagan. She was the loving mother of Carol Flanagan of San Diego and James J. III & his wife Deborah of Waltham, formerly of Lexington. She was the grandmother of Kendra and Lauren Flanagan. Rose is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were private.
