Obituary of Janet Fleming
Janet D. (Rosenberg) Fleming, a woman devoted to her family and her faith, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012. The wife of the late Francis “Red” Fleming, she would have celebrated her 90th birthday on March 30.
Janet was born and raised in Somerville. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Rosenberg. Janet worked as an Accountant at H. P. Hood in Charlestown for over 20 years. She lived in Canton for 20 years before moving to Burlington four years ago to be closer to her niece Nancy. Janet was a devoute Catholic and supported many catholic charities and activities. Janet also taught religious education throughout the years. Janet’s nature was to care for and to help others. Her family was the most important part of her life. She had a very special relationship with her nieces and nephews. She loved to be with them and took them on vacations to Maine and Cape Cod. She will be lovingly remembered by her family.
Janet was the beloved wife of the late late Francis “Red” Fleming. She was the loving sister of the late Edward Rosenberg, June Mahoney, and William Ross. Janet was the devoted aunt of William and Robert Mahoney, Nancy Isbart, William, David & Michael Ross and the late Edward Mahoney and Lawrence Ross. Janet is also survived by many great and great great nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, March 20 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 11 a.m. Interment in Milton Cemetery, Milton. Memorials in Janet’s name may be made to Catholic Charities of Boston, 51 Sleeper St., Boston, MA 02210
