Obituary of Myra Bartlett

Myra F. (Alajian) Bartlett, a woman who devoted her life to her husband and her faith, passed away at the Lexington Health Care Center on Sunday evening, March 18, 2012. The beloved wife of 35 years of Edgar H. Bartlett, she was 76 years old. Myra was born in Methuen. She was raised and educated in Watertown and was a 1953 graduate of Watertown High. Myra worked as a Bookkeeper at Wakefield Housing and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. She also worked as a Professional “Baker” which was something she enjoyed very much and was very proud of. Myra loved to entertain. Her home was always welcome to family and friends. She always remembered you on your birthday or a holiday and was always sending cards to family and friends. Once you told Myra your birthday she never forgot! Myra and Edgar enjoyed traveling together and had taken many cruises and excursions. They also enjoyed exploring new restaurants together. She enjoyed gardening and shopping. Myra’s faith was very important to her and she was a very active member of her church. Myra touched many hearts and will be deeply missed. Myra was the beloved and devoted wife of Edgar H. Bartlett. She was the sister of Queen Ann Jones of GA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Mount Hope Christian Center, 3 McGinnis Drive, Burlington on Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St. BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, March 22 from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorials in Myra’s name may be made to Mt. Hope Christian Center, 3 McGinnis Drive, Burlington, MA 01803.
