Obituary of Leah Cristine Busa

Leah Cristine (Fabrizio) Busa, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at her home on Saturday morning June 3, 2017, following a 3 year battle with cancer. The beloved wife of Robert Busa, Jr. she was just 39 years old. Leah was born, raised and educated in Burlington. She attended Memorial Elementary School and was a 1996 graduate of Burlington High School. Leah came from a tight knit Italian Family and had a very close relationship with her siblings as well as her cousins who were all close to her age. She had a special bond with her parents and had a memorable trip to Italy with her parents and her sisters for the Great Jubilee in the year 2000. At the age of 23 her Leah’s life would change when she was introduced to her future husband Rob by her sister. They would marry on April 14, 2007 and live in Burlington. Prior to starting their family Leah and Rob enjoyed taking trips to the Dominican Republic. Leah and Rob had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in April. Leah’s greatest joy was being a mom to Robby and Victoria. She was a loving and supportive mom. Simply said she was an “awesome” mother! Leah’s life ended much too soon but she will be remembered for her sense of humor, outgoing personality and her deep love and devotion to her family. Leah was the beloved wife of Robert Busa, Jr. She was the devoted mother of Robert Anthony and Victoria Lee. Loving daughter of Cristine Fabrizio & the late Anthony of Burlington. Sister of Angela Nota & her husband William, Anthony Fabrizio, Jr. & his wife Darlene and Marina Fabrizio all of Burlington. Daughter-in-law of Robert & Donna Busa of NH formerly of Burlington. Sister-in-law of Joseph & Shannon Busa of Burlington and Jenna & Johnny Magdalena of Dracut. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Funeral from the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Wednesday, June 7 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-8 p.m. Interment in Westview Cemetery, Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials in Leah’s name may be made to the Busa Children Memorial Fund, C/O Northern Bank & Trust, 13 Center St., Burlington, MA 01803.
