Larry was born in Lynn, the son of the late Lawrence and Olive Jacobs. He grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn High School. He served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War. While he was working and raising a family, he went to Northeastern University for 8 years nights to earn his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. Larry had a number of interests outside of work including flower gardening, fishing, and being a Patriots fan. He also enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. Larry’s life revolved around his family and that of being a faithful servant to his Lord and Savior. After the passing of May his first wife, he was blessed again with his second wife Gloria, both of whom shared his faith and values. He was a caring and loving father to his children, and a very proud grandfather and great grandfather. He would do anything humanly possible for his family. Larry had a deep Christian faith which he expressed through involvement at the Church of the Open Bible. There was probably not a single position or committee within the church, that Larry was not involved in at some point over the years. He was a member of the Board of Elders, Sunday school teacher, Deacon, Greeter, Usher, Men’s group, and the list goes on. The Church of the Open Bible was a wonderful place where Larry deepened his faith and was a vibrant member of the church family.
Larry was the beloved husband of Gloria S. (Seraydarian) Jacobs of Acton and the late May R. (Lloyd) Jacobs. He was the father of Dennis E. Jacobs & his wife Linda of Derry, NH, Christina M.
