Obituary of Joseph Saidah

Joseph William Saidah passed away by accident in Wakefield on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was 27 years old. Joseph was a lifelong resident of Burlington. He was a 2008 graduate of Burlington High School where he played as a defensive lineman on the varsity football team. Since his graduation for Burlington High School he was in the Building and Grounds Maintenance trade. Joseph worked part-time for the family business New England Services and full-time for Johnny D’s Landscaping in Burlington. Joseph enjoyed three things during his lifetime; exercise, family, and friends. He loved to work hard every day from 6am. to 8pm. He went to his gym, L.A. Fitness, every day. He also jogged regularly at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield. Joseph’s family was a big part of his life. Sunday dinners were a must. His family spent a lot of time together at their home. He was a devoted and loving son to his parents, Mary and Glenn. He respected their guidance and concern and never wanted to let them down. He had a strong bond with his brother, Kenneth, and his sister, Geena. They were siblings, but also best of friends. Joseph loved hanging out with his great circle of friends. They camped, fished, and watched all the Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots. The Ganley’s home was often the gathering spot for all his friends. Joseph loved all his friends. He had a strong connection with all his aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he always remained close. Joseph will be remembered by his family and friends for many outstanding qualities. He was fun to be around and would do anything for anyone. He had a great spirit, perpetual smile, and a big heart. He shared his humor, friendship, and never ending supply of love with all his family and friends. Joseph’s passing will be difficult for all to accept, but he leaves lasting memories filled with happiness and love. Joseph would always say to his dad “I am proud to be a Saidah”. Joseph was the loving son of Glenn and Mary (DeCologero) of Burlington. Loving brother of Kenneth & Geena both of Burlington. Grandson of William DeCologero of Winchester.
