Obituary of Deana M. DeLuca
Deana Marie DeLuca, an incredible woman who was devoted to her family, passed away suddenly from a brain bleed, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was 49 years old.
Deana was a lifelong resident of Burlington, living her entire life in the same home. She was a 1986 graduate of Burlington High School. She married her husband David on April 12, 1997 and they had 2 sons, David and Devin. She stopped working and was a stay at home mom when her sons where young. When they were older, she went to work at BJ’s in Stoneham as a customer service representative. She was a ray of sunshine and loved interacting with and assisting the customers. It was amazing how her free flowing kindness was so appreciated that her customers would often recognize and acknowledge her outside of work.
Deana’s life revolved around her family. She has been the loving and supportive wife of David DeLuca for 20 years. They enjoyed raising their boys, entertaining family and friends around their pool, and day trips on David’s motorcycle. She was always there for her sons. She joked that she was the “Queen of Laundry” and was always pressing their shirts. She was in the stands with a bit of trepidation for all their wrestling and boxing matches, football games, and karate competitions. She enjoyed laughing with her boys, sharing French toast breakfasts, sushi lunches, and seeing them growing up to be responsible young adults. Easter and the Fourth of July were Deana’s holidays to host. She painstakingly took care of every detail from the food, decorations, to entertainment to make sure her family and guests would have an enjoyable time. Deana spent her life with limited hearing ability. Sometimes she would use that to her benefit. Despite her hearing disability, everyone said she was the person they would seek out when they needed to talk over a concern or problem. Deana also enjoyed some simple pleasures as well. A good book with a cup of coffee, a game of solitaire, sitting on her deck with her dogs Myra Jean and Mia at her side, a day at the beach, and a lobster dinner. Deana lived her life sharing her love with those she cared for and her memory will endure in the hearts of all she has touched during her life time.
Deana was the beloved wife of David A. DeLuca. She was the loving mother of David and Devin DeLuca of Burlington. She was the loving daughter of Peter McAnespie & his companion Sandy Schaivo of Billerica and Diane Novello & her husband Sam of Cape Coral, FL. She was the caring sister Peter McAnespie of Tewksbury and John McAnespie of Harpswell, ME. Deana had a wonderful relationship with her in-laws and was the loving daughter-in-law of Diane & Donald DeLuca, Jr. of Billerica and sister-in-law of Donald & Kelly DeLuca of Westford and Daniel & Kristen DeLuca of Billerica. Niece of Carol Pierce of NH. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
