Obituary of Lazaro E. Rodriguez
Lazaro E. “Kiko” Rodriguez, passed away at the Blaire House in Tewksbury on Saturday morning, July 29, 2017. The beloved husband of the late Aurora (Perez) he was 92 years old.
Lazaro was born, raised and educated in Cuba. He was the son of the late Enrique and Anna Rodriguez. Lazaro and Aurora married in Cuba on August 4, 1956. In 1968 they came to the United States for better opportunities with their two children. He had a very strong work ethic and worked hard to provide for his family. He worked as an Electronic Assembler at Instrumentation Labs in Watertown for over 25 years. Lazaro was a member of the Cuban Cultural Club in Boston. It was a place that people who had immigrated from Cuba could meet both socially and culturally. He and Aurora enjoyed attending the socials there. They made many friendships at the club that they maintained throughout the years. Lazaro was very much a family man. He was the type of person who was always doing things for others in a quiet and unassuming way.
Lazaro was very involved in his four grandchildren’s lives. He attend both of his granddaughter’s weddings. He loved to dance and was able to share a dance with both Christina and Diana at their weddings. He was blessed to see the birth of his first great grandchild Henry John. Lazaro shared a wonderful 56 years of marriage to his wife Aurora who he was devoted to.
Lazaro was the beloved husband of the late the late Aurora (Perez). He was the loving father of Peter Rodriguez & his wife Marcia of Burlington and Ana Malecki & her husband Antony of Windham, NH. Proud grandfather of Eric Rodriguez, Diana Tintle & her husband David, Christina Guessetto & her husband Matthew and Jacqueline Malecki. Great Grandfather of Henry John Guessetto. Brother of Ana Ramirez of Miami, FL. Lazaro shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews both in Miami and in Boston, as well as, with his many grandn
ieces and grandnephews. He was close to each of them. A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St.., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128/95 Woburn side) on Wednesday, Aug 2 from 9:15 – 10:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Billerica at 11 a.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Kiko’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Road, Billerica, MA 01821.
