Wendy learned from her parents at an early age that her life should be centered around her family, faith, and community. She watched how involved her parents were in her and her siblings lives, their church, and in the activities in and around Burlington. She went to work at the YMCA where she was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons. She was chairperson of the school’s Magazine Fundraiser Drives, which she continued long after her children had graduated. She found a home at the First Baptist Church of Foxboro and Norfolk Baptist Church where she sang in their choirs and strengthened and professed her deep Christian faith.
Wendy was a women with a huge heart filled with compassion, kindness, and love. She loved helping others. If someone needed a helping hand, Wendy would drop everything and be there to support, encourage, and assist them in any manner she could. Her thoughtfulness was always free flowing. Whenever she shared a gift or token with a family member or friend, it was personal and well thought out and was always accompanied with a hand written note expressing why the gift was selected and what made it special for the recipient. It was this genuine spirit that made Wendy so special.
Wendy was always on the go and had numerous activities and interests outside of her clubs . She loved swimming, gardening, and singing. She loved hosting the holidays, especially Christmas. She loved summers spent at Old Orchard Beach, trips to Disney, Storyland, Fryeburg Fair, and any other destination that would brighten the life’s’ of her family.
