Obituary of Edward Brian
Edward Brian, a longtime resident of Stoneham, passed away on August 27, 2017. The beloved husband of the late Gloria Ann (Giannone) he was 87 years old.
Ed was born in Arlington. He was raised and educated in Watertown. Ed had perfect attendance 1st through 12th grade. Ed was the older of two sons of the late Haig and Nevert Bonjoukjian. Ed served on the USCGC Casco as a quartermaster and ships Photographer 1950-1953. Ed was the recipient of the Honorable Discharge Button, Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was proud to serve his country. Shortly after his wife Gloria passed Ed volunteered with the USCGAUX where he assisted instructors who taught boating safety. Ed met wife Gloria at Napa Auto parts store. From there they got married and stayed loyal to each other for 59 years.
Ed had a wonderful 60 year career as a Wedding Photographer. He loved his job and loved sharing the special times with the newly married couples. He enjoyed sharing stories of the many weddings he attended with his family and friends. Ed worked hard to provide for his family and also worked as an Automotive Parts Salesman for over 35 years at Sealed Power in Cambridge. Ed enjoyed taking his family vacations to Old orchard Beach. He also enjoyed fishing with his children where they would spend the entire day on the water. Ed was a longtime friend of the Mystic Wellington Yacht Club in Medford where he helped photograph events such as the Blessing of the fleet. Ed enjoyed the Red Sox and Patriots and loved western movies.
Ed’s family was the center of his life. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ed will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his love of his family.

He was the loving father of Edward & his companion Lisa Nan of Lowell, Shelley & her husband Brian Skinner of Stoneham, Ronald & his wife Jeanne of Stoneham, David & his companion Lucinda Raccioppi of Andover and Michelle Kelleher & her husband Mark of Burlington. Brother of Alan Bonjoukjian of Melrose. Proud grandfather of Lindsay, Amanda, Zachary Taylor, Victoria Jean, Davey, Steffanie & Autumn Rose Brian, Cindy, Lisa & Richie Abkarian and Sean & Nolan Kelleher. A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Anthony’s of Malden, 105 Canal St., Malden on Saturday, September 16 from 6-10 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
