Obituary of Mary DeTucci

Mary A. (Ullrich) DeTucci, a retired Bank manager, passed away after a long illness on Thursday morning, September 1, 2011. She was 78 years old. Mary was born in Malden, the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Ullrich. She grew up and was educated in Malden. She had worked for many years as a manager at Malden Trust. She enjoyed her career as well as the many friendships which developed over the years with her colleagues and customers. She had a number of interests which included Bingo, visits to the Casino, bowling, and shopping. She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed listening to Irish music. She enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with her late husband. She had a wonderful relationship with her stepchildren, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mary will be lovingly remembered by all. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore J. DeTucci. She was the loving stepmother of Richard DeTucci & his wife Doreen of HI, Donna Lennox of Burlington, Joseph DeTucci & his wife Maureen of Malden, Stephen DeTucci & his wife Lisa of Belmont and Diane Jefferson & her husband Jack of Burlington. She was the sister of David Ullrich and Ann Moffitt both of Malden. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher & Ryan DeTucci, Jennifer Algozzini, Lisa Romano, Tiffany, Christy & Bobby Jefferson. Great grandmother of Elizabeth, Emily, Nicholas & Samantha. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sat. Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Mass Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
