Obituary of Arthur Studley

Arthur J. Studley, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Home on Saturday morning, June 23, 2007. The beloved husband of over 50 years of Norma (Thompson), he was 78 years old. Arthur was born, raised and educated in Watertown. He ran a Shoe Store on Main St. in Watertown for over 40 years. He also employed as a Machinist and an Inspector at Raytheon. Arthur had a passion for model trains and had a large collection of them. Because of his love of trains he was fondly called “Papa Choo Choo” by many of his grandchildren. Arthur is the beloved husband of Norma (Thompson). He is the loving father of Richard A. Stewart of Woburn, Arthur J. “Chip” Studley, Jr. & his wife Dawn of Wimuma, FL, and Joan E. & her husand Charles Federico of Wilmington. He is the brother of the late Ruth Norton, Olive Dutton, William, Warren, Leroy, Paul, Lloyd, and Harold Studley. Grandfather of Dr. Chip Studley, Michael, Anthony, and Nicholas Federico, Crystal and Michael Harris. He is the Great Grandfather of Ciara Harris. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, July 8 from 3-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials in Arthur’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
