Obituary of Grace Patricia Barry
Grace was born in Winchester. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of St. Peters Grammar School and High School. In addition to living in Cambridge, Grace lived for many years in Winchester and Burlington.
She worked as an Eye Technician at Burlington Eye, and also her duties as a Certified Nursing assistant (CNA) lent themselves to promoting her strong desire to help people in need. Grace was a kind and thoughtful person. She was always helpful and concerned with medical issues with neighbors and friends. She would check in regularly with them to insure their well being.
Grace had many interests and hobbies. She was an avid Red Sox Fan. She loved watching the red sox and knew interesting statistics about many of the Red Sox Players. She would spend hours doing crossword puzzles and absolutely loved playing “Words with Friends”, which was her way of keeping in touch with friends. She liked to draw and loved doing “felt tip pen painting”, an art that required deep concentration and patience.
Grace loved to spend time at the Barry family summer home in Green Harbor, spending a great deal of time on the beach and just enjoying quality time with the family. It was her most favorite place to vacation throughout her years.
Grace will be remembered for her kindness to others and her deep love for her family.
