Obituary of Richard Meyer

Richard P. Meyer a plasterer and framer in the construction industry passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was 51 years old. Richard was born in Woburn. He grew up and was educated in Burlington. He was a Graduate of Burlington High School Class of 1978. Richard worked as a plasterer and house framer in the construction industry for most of his working career. He had owned his own company as well as working for a number of other contractors. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping, and vacationing in New Hampshire. He played softball with friends. He loved making model trucks. He was a huge Boston Sports fan. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. His son, Paul, was his pride and joy. He cherished the time he spent with his son whether it was going to a ball game, watching a movie, going out for a lobster, or just hanging around. Richard was the loving father of Paul H. Meyer of Burlington. He was the son of Arnold Meyer, Sr. of Medford and the late Pearl M. (White) Meyer. He was the brother of Arnold Meyer, Jr. and his wife Christine of Derry, NH. He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Graveside services will be held at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington on Saturday, March 31 at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard’s name may be made to Visiting Nurse and Community Health, 37 Broadway, Arlington, MA 02474. Arrangements under the direction of the Edward V.
