Obituary of Michael Phillips

Michael S. Phillips “Spike” passed away suddenly on October 11, 2017. He had just celebrated his 52nd birthday only weeks before with his friends. He was a graduate of Woburn High School. He was a hard working individual who always gave 110%. Over the years, he had worked many jobs and careers including being an electrician, computer programmer, taxi cab driver, DJ, and band member. Music was his most favorite passion. He had his own disk jockey company called “Spike The DJ.” He also played keyboard for the band, “Happy the Clown”. Nothing made him happier than playing his music and performing to the crowd. He loved going to concerts and had quite a collection of music memorabilia. He lived his life following his passions and dreams. Michael was the son of Dorisann (Catizone) McAlary of Billerica and the late Thomas Phillips. He was the brother of Lisa Marie Beaulieu and her husband Richard of Whitman and Thomas “T.J.” Phillips, Jr. and his wife Val of Watertown. He was the grandson of Doris Catizone of Woburn and the late Nicholas Catizone, Sr. He was the nephew of Nicholas Catizone, Jr. of Woburn, Eleanor and Nino Barile of Somerville, Kenneth and Margo Phillips of FL. He was the uncle to Steven Sardella and his wife Samantha of Tewksbury, and Alec Beaulieu of Whitman. He was the Godson of Connie Innes of Somerville. Michael is also survived by many good friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Monday, October 16 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with a funeral service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
