Obituary of Keith R Gerbrands

Keith R. Gerbrands passed away from complications with Diabetes on Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was 44 years old. Keith was born in Boston. He was the youngest son of Vincent and Adrienne Gerbrands. He grew up in Burlington and was a 1992 graduate of Burlington High School. His grandfather and great grandfather worked at some of the finest hotels and restaurants in Boston. Keith loved food and he found his connection with chefs and staffs of many of the restaurants in the area as a truck driver/ delivery person for Dole and Bailey which was one of Boston’s oldest and most renown meat and culinary businesses. He had also worked for another John Dewar Co. which was another culinary provisions company. Growing up in a family where food was so important, Keith had a great appreciation for great chefs. He loved interacting with the chefs and cooks when he was making his deliveries. He also enjoyed coming in the front door of fine restaurants and enjoy the creative skills of these chefs. Keith loved his family and had a great number of friends. He loved Sunday dinners, family gatherings, and celebrating the holidays with his family. The family trips spent on Mayflower Beach in Dennis where some of his most memorable vacations. He adored his nieces and nephew. They would always be the highlight of his day. He enjoyed his trips to Europe, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Las Vegas. He was a Boston Sports fan with the Patriots and Red Sox being his favorites. He had a kind heart, fine taste, a great sense of humor, and loved to be mysterious and aloof. Keith’s passing was unexpected, but he filled his 44 years with countless memories and adventures. Keith was the beloved son of Vincent and Adrienne “Cookie” (Rossetti) Gerbrands of Burlington. He was the brother of Mark Gerbrands of Burlington and his Fiancé Laura Agastino and Eric Gerbrands and his wife Ziba of El Segundo, CA. He was the proud uncle of Victoria, Grace, and Nickolas Gerbrands. He was the nephew of Loretta Rossetti of Hudson, MA, Carl & Susan Gerbrands of FL, and Paul & Joanne Gerbrands of FL. Keith was also survived by many cousins and friends. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Friday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
