Obituary of Robert Anderson
Robert E. Anderson, Jr. a retired Master Electrician passed away after a long illness on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was 55 years old.
Robert was born in Burlington, Wisconsin. His family returned to Burlington, MA when he was a child. As a teenager, he was a member of the Boy Scouts, Troop 511 and earned his Eagle Scout. He was a 1980 graduate of Burlington High School. He then earned Bachelor of Science Degree from Merrimack College in 1985. He enjoyed working with his hands and changed his career path becoming a Master Electrician. His life tragically changed 20 years ago. While working on a ladder at work, he fell. The Doctors were not sure if he would survive. He was in a coma for a week and then he never fully recovered from his injuries. He couldn’t physically return to work and his way of life had been forever changed. Robert always loved the outdoors. He was a member of the AMC and loved hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He enjoyed camping using an old school tent rather than a trailer. He loved animals and had his own livestock of pigs, chickens, and turkeys. He enjoyed his dogs company as well. He also enjoyed photography. Because he didn’t have children, his nieces and nephews were very special to him.
Robert was the beloved husband of the late Elisabeth (Gardner). Son of Robert and Laura (Wentworth) Anderson of Burlington. Son-in-law of Luziana Gardner of Peabody. Brother of Lisa Lebrecht of Burlington, Frank Eric Anderson & his wife Debbie of Woburn, Richard Anderson & his wife Hilary of Chelmsford. Brother-in-law of the late David Lebrecht. He was the uncle of Christopher, Kyle, Caitlyn, and Kelley Lebrecht, Steve, Chris, & Ryan Jensen, Thomas Daniell, Jake Anderson and Kathleen & Sarah Anderson. Great uncle of Anna & Oliver Anderson and Emma & Elizah Lebrecht.
A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Saturday, November 18 from Noon to 2 p.m. and will conclude with a funeral service starting at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
