Obituary of Kelli Ann McClay

Kelli Ann McClay passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was 42 years old. Kelli was born in Boston. She was raised and educated in Burlington. Kelli attended Memorial School and was a 1993 graduate of Burlington High School. After High School she went on to graduate from Mansfield Beauty Academy in Billerica. Kelli was a hard worker and was employed at number of shops during her career. She worked at Curio Salon in North Reading, HelaineMarie Salon in Stoneham and most recently Hair by Nicole in Burlington. Kelli’s greatest pride and joy was her daughter Cassidy. Nothing made Kelli happier than watching her daughter play softball for North Reading High were she was Co-Captain of the team. She was very proud to see Cassidy graduate from North Reading High School this past June and attend U Mass Boston where she would play on the U Mass Boston Softball Team. Kelli had an artistic nature. She loved to make scrapbooks with many of the pictures focusing on the life of her daughter Cassidy. Kelli saw the good in people and always had a smile on her face. She had a crazy, outgoing and engaging personality. She knew how to work the room during a party. She had many friends some of which were lifelong friendships from growing up in Burlington. Kelli will be remembered for her infectious smile and her love for her daughter Cassidy. Kelli was the beloved and proud mother of Cassidy Gaeta of North Reading. She was the loving daughter of Jane McClay of Reading, formerly of Burlington and the late Dennis. Sister of Christopher McClay & his companion Adriana Scholz of Waltham. Aunt of Domenic, Dylan & Nicolina McClay. Kelli is also survived by many aunts, uncles and friends. A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128/95 Woburn side) on Sunday, Jan 14 from 3-6 p.m. Concluding with Funeral Services at 6 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kelli’s name may be made to the Cassidy Gaeta Scholarship Fund, c/o Northern Bank & Trust, 13 Center St., Burlington, MA 01803.
