Obituary of Linda S Chasse
Linda S. (Brookings) Chasse, a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at her home with her family by her side, on Tuesday evening, January 16, 2018. Linda was 52 years old.
Linda was born and raised in Burlington. She was a 1983 graduate of Arlington Catholic High School. Linda began her career working at Nordblom Co. in Burlington in March of 1993. She worked at Nordblom for 24 years as a Lease Administrator. Linda was a perfectionist and very organized and that made her excel at her job. She took great pride in her job and made many close friendships at Nordblom through the years.
Linda would meet her future husband Paul at a New Year’s Eve Party. They had an instant connection that evening. The married at one of her favorite destinations Jamaica and were married for 18 years. Linda loved the ocean and warm climates. She and Paul enjoyed travailing together with tropical islands their favorite locations.
Linda’s greatest pride and joy was her son Tom. They had a close mother and son relationship. She could always be seen in the stands cheering him on, rarely missing any of this sporting events or activities. She was so proud to see Tom graduate from Burlington High School and then the University of Massachusetts Lowell. One of her happiest days was when Tom wed his wife Erin.
Linda had a caring and selfless nature. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Linda always put the needs of others before her own. For many years she and Paul helped to care for her mom and dad. Linda will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family.
Linda was the beloved wife of Paul A. Chasse. She was the loving and proud mother of Thomas Murphy & his wife Erin of Woburn formerly of Burlington. Loving daughter of Edith Brookings & the late George of Burlington. Sister of George F. Brookings, Jr. of FL and Stephen Brookings of North Billerica. Step-mother of Aimee, Alexandra & Justin Chasse all of Nahant. Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Open Bible, 3 Winn St., Burlington on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Friday, Jan. 19 from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Memorials in Linda’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
