Hi Nada,
I just saw that Slavko had passed. I will always remember how good he was to you when he would come into the back
I was unable to go to the wake because I am in Florida but I am thinking of you and your family.
Janet.

Dear Slavko,
We will all miss you as we love you. You are truly a very special person in our community. It is fair to say that our community would not be today what it is, without your work, vision and patience. You worked hard to gather all of us Serbs, regardless of origin and political affiliation, despite the fact that you were yourself persecuted. That in itself is a great feature of your character, something today’s new generations of Serbs should learn from you, so they can put political divisions of the past behind them and be truly brothers and sisters. No hard feelings, no bitterness, just search for wisdom to be better, truly noble and amazing. You worked hard , not only to gather community, but to help the newcomers, refugees and all people of good will. You could be strict and frequently had been, as all people who must deal with realities of life and money frequently are, but you always listened everyone’s words, whether agreed or not.And in that strictness you were wise as you never allowed important decisions be made by hart only but by rational thinking. In everyday communication ,you were always warm, patient, fatherly instructive and kind. You looked at all kids as if they were your grandchildren.
We all saw this, and loved you and respected for it. So now, that the time has come to part, we want you to know this, our love and appreciation, as we never did in so many words, while you were with us. We will miss you and always remember you until such day when we might meet again.
May dear God grant you a place in his Heavenly Home!

Dear Slavko,
It is time to say goodbye for a little while, but memories of you and your achievements and your presence in Church will stay with us. Going back 25 years when our little group started, for the first year in particular, you were that foundation upon which we built our first Church. It was not always easy. You would sometimes seem to be stubborn and forceful at the time, but later we realized that with your perserverence we were able to pay off the old church and then buy new one.Thank you Slavko for your friendship, leadership and love.We will miss you dearly. Memory eternal.

We are very sad to hear of Slavko's passing. He was an important part of the history of the St. Sava Serbian Church, its formation and prosperity that we all enjoy today. There are so many good memories that we share and, indeed, his memory will be eternal!

Slavko was a true Patriarch of the Boston Serbian community. He was a proud American who never forgot his roots . Hi made us all feel good
about ourselves and about our Serbian heritage. Although his Serbian
Orthodox Religion was a guiding light in his life,Hi never looked down
on other Religions or Nationalities.
Being a great humanitarian Slavko looked upon all people with affection, and everything Hi did in his life was driven by love , not hate.
He was a gentle soul with a hearth big enough to accommodate both-
Love and Forgiveness. Throughout his life Slavko walked both with
Kings and with Paupers with the same dignity and respect.
It was a great privilage to be Slavko’s friend.Spending time with Slavko was always special, because He had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed good laugh. Together with his beloved Nada, Slavko was an Ambasador of good will in our community and they both were a Pilar of strength for all of us in times of crisis.
Slavko and Nada will be sorrely missed by the Serbian community and
all of their friends.
Poslednji Pozdrav , Dragana i Cekan
