Obituary of Theresa Mary Richardi

Theresa Mary (McDermott) Richardi, a retired Secretary at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., passed away at her home in Burlington on Friday evening, Feb. 23, 2018. The beloved wife of 53 years of Ralph R. Richardi, she was 88 years old. Theresa was born in Cambridge. She was the daughter of Irish Immigrants the late Richard and Delia McDermott. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and a graduate of St. Peter’s High School. Theresa and Ralph made their home in Lexington for over 40 years. They had recently lived in Burlington to be closer to their two daughters. As a family they spent over 20 years vacationing in Ogunquit Beach in Maine. Ogunquit was a gathering place each summer for their children and grandchildren. It was a place that had many special times for the family. Theresa and Ralph enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas together as well as evenings out dancing. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo. Theresa will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife to her husband Ralph and a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Theresa was the beloved wife of Ralph. She was the loving mother of Maureen Goddard & her husband Glenn of Burlington, Kathleen Duggan & her husband Todd of Burlington and Kenneth Richardi of Arlington. Stepmother of Ellen Amerault & her husband Edward of CA. Grandmother of Scott & Christopher Goddard, Sean & Makaila Duggan, Kenneth Richardi and Kerrianne & Kelly Amerault. Great grandmother of Nathan, Andrew, Timothy, Sarah, Joy, Gabriel, Elias and Naomi. Sister of the late Richard & William McDermott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington on Thursday March 1 at 10 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers Memorials in Theresa’s name may be made to the VNA of Middlesex East vnaofme.org
