Dear Donna and Denise,
I want to extend our sympathies to you and your family. We are sorry that we could not attend the wake or Mass for her. I had minor surgery on Monday and came home on Tuesday. We went by St. Malachy's on the way home from the hospital. We said a prayer for her. I met up with her at Notre Dame. My sister was also in the same unit. We know she is up there with your Dad.
Love,
The Restivo's

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother, Maureen, and I regret that I will not be able to be with you for the Funeral Mass on Tuesday. Please be assured that I will offer a Mass for Maureen here at St. Peter's Parish in Plymouth, MA where I am in residence as a Senior Priest. The write up on your mother and father is excellent and it brought many happy memories to my mind when I was with them and you all at St. Malachy's Parish. May God be with you during this Holy Week and my your mom rejoice in the presence of the Risen Lord and praise Him with your dad right at her side.

My deepest sympathies to the McLaughlin family and all the friends that became her family. My mom, Marilyn and dad, Jack McHugh were some of those friends. Dick and Maureen sponsored my mom as she became Catholic and a bond was forever formed. After my folks moved from Burlington to Florida Maureen and Dick spent many happy days visiting with them. When my mom passed in 2007 Dick and Maureen wrote some of her eulogy. There is no doubt, Maureen has a special place in heaven beside Dick as well as my mom and dad.

Dear Denise:
We are so sad to hear of your mother's passing. I will always remember going to your house on Westwood when Amy was at
Fox Hill and the great pool parties. How your Mom & Dad convinced us to be part of the marriage prep at St. Malachy's but most of all we will remember how wonderful they were to the Patients and families at Lahey Clinic. How they opened their home to the families for a meal or if necessary a place to stay. May God and your Dad welcome your Mom with open arms.
Denise, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Ruthann & Ernie Covino

Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin where just like grandparents to everyone who lived on Westwood Street. They where always there for ANYONE who needed help with anything. Every time you would either ring their doorbell or just walk by when they where outside it was like their own family was stopping by to say hi and I'll NEVER forget that. REST IN PEACE Mrs. McLaughlin. I'm so happy that your back with my pal Mr. McLaughlin in heaven. Thinking about your awesome family and grandchildren through this tough time.
