So sad to hear that Lin is gone. I played with Lin in many bands at clubs around the North Shore. He will be sorely missed.

I came to know you as your caregiver but you quickly became so very much more! You'd greet me at the door with your great big warm smile and my heart would just dance. We shared so many stories that I felt like we knew each other for even longer than a couple of years and I felt like part of your extended family. Occasionally I'd hear you practicing one of your musical instruments prior to an engagement. You were always "my favorite" and I knew how much you cared about me too. You will always be in my heart. My deepest sympathy to your entire family. You will always be missed until we meet again.

My condolences go out to the Ayer family. The Jazz man will surely be missed. I’ve known Lin since I was a teenager and got to play music with him many times over the years. He was a very nice person, always welcoming, smiling and always talking about the music he loved.
