Obituary of June L. Tabaldi

June Lorraine Tabaldi, an award winning real estate agent, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the age of 64. June was born in Somerville, one of three children born to Raymond and Eleanor Richards. Her family moved to Burlington when June was in first grade and she has never left Burlington since that time. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1972. June got involved in the real estate business in the early 80’s first as a rental agent. She then worked at Realty-World, Litchfield and Associates in Woburn. June was a natural when it came to the real estate business. She had a calm and reassuring way about her that made both buyers and sellers feel comfortable about their decisions. She wasn’t bashful about fighting for her customers to get the best deal for them. June was also a great listener and could understand what her clients wanted and needed. She had the keen ability to match their desires with the perfect property or buyer. While some real estate agents would show countless homes, June could zero in on the perfect home that matched their dreams and budget. Not only was she the top producer in Burlington year after year, she was 2nd in the country in sales for the entire Realty World organization in 1984 and 1st in the country in 1985. That was out of over 30,000 other agents. When she owned Century 21-Tabaldi, she earned the Centurion Award eight times, for being in the top 1 percent in sales. June also co-owned Gallery of Homes-Tabaldi & Nudler for a few years before starting C-21 Tabaldi. Most of her real estate worked centered on Burlington, Woburn, and Billerica. She worked on behalf of many loyal customers and who knew “that June had their back”. June did not let her real estate business overshadow her life. She made it a point to always be there for her family, friends, and community. A word that everyone used to describe her was “Generous”. She sponsored baseball and softball teams in the community, she worked on the Grandview Farms Committee helping with fundraising, she sponsored an Adopt a Class for 12 years, and supported countless other charities as well. It wasn’t surprising that Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her home was decorated inside and out. She even won the town award for best decorated house several times over the years. June would start shopping months before the holiday seeking the perfect gifts for all her family and friends. June cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She loved hosting parties at her home in Burlington or second home on Plum Island during the summer months. She was the best mother to her son, Stephen. She loved him unconditionally. She was in the stands during his baseball games and there to mend his scrapes and bruises as a child. June would support him to become a strong, responsible adult, husband and father. She was so excited to welcome her daughter-in-law Sarah into her family. Her two granddaughters Zoey and Hannah brought her immense joy. June was together with her soul mate, Gary, for 36 years. They never needed to go to an altar to proclaim their love for each other. They did everything together. They had a great circle of family and friends. June and Gary traveled all over the United States, Europe and the Caribbean together. Their last vacation was just 10 weeks ago when they spent a week in Antigua. After June’s first stroke 5 years ago, their devotion to each other only became stronger. Gary marveled at the strength June demonstrated after her first stroke left her partially paralyzed. Two and a half years later she went through a complicated open heart surgery that left her with another stroke, and after four months of ICU and rehab she returned home. June never complained to him, not one time. June had given so much to her family and they all rallied to walk with her through the effects of her illness. June’s strength and courage during these tough times were truly amazing to all who knew and loved her . June was the beloved lifelong partner of 36 years of Gary Litchfield of Burlington. Loving mother of Stephen & his wife Sarah of Lawrence. Proud grandmother of Zoey & Hannah. Sister of Anne O’Brien & her husband Robert of Chelmsford and the late Raymond Richards Jr. Sister-in-law of Barbara Richards of Billerica, Patricia & Edward Schuler of Newbury, Joanne and Jeff Ferry of Hilton Head, SC, Robert & Andrea Litchfield of Woburn, and Paul Litchfield & his companion Lisa Conti of Lowell. Daughter-in-law of Patricia Litchfield of Burlington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Sunday, April 22 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the United Church of Christ Congregational Church, 6 Lexington St., Burlington on Monday, April 23 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
