Obituary of Anna Giannetti
Anna Giannetti, a longtime resident of Burlington, Massachusetts passed away at Arnold House in Stoneham, Massachusetts shortly after her 95th Birthday.
Anna was born in Waltham, MA the daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Thomas and Maria DeLorenzo. She grew up and was educated in Medford.
Anna was known throughout her life for her grace and pleasant personality. Anna began as a piano teacher but spent most of her career as an administrative assistant at Arkwright Boston Insurance Company of Waltham. She was very active for many years in the Burlington Senior Center. Anna was an avid organ player and enjoyed playing cards. Anna and her late husband, Larry, were married for 60 years and took great pride in their home on Mill Street in Burlington. They were among the earliest residents of that street and lived there together for 56 years. They also travelled. Anna and her husband, Larry, were long time parishioners of St. Margaret’s Church, Burlington, where they were well known at the 4:30 pm Saturday afternoon Mass.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence. Anna was the loving sister of the late Catherine (DeLorenzo) Bilotta and Joseph DeLorenzo. She was the Aunt of Deacon Richard Bilotta & his wife, Rosella of Burlington; Thomas Bilotta & his wife Marie of Carlisle; and Cathy Bilotta of Manchester-by-the-Sea. She was the Great Aunt of Jennifer (Bilotta) Wielicki, AnnMarie (Bilotta) McNeill and Renee and Andrew Lucia. She was the Great Great Aunt of James Wielicki.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St. Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Friday, May 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at Noon. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington
