A Message from Caryn I have a lifetime of memories with Aunty Lillian we would be here for the next few hours to reminisce through them all. I can remember anxiously waiting for Christmas each year as Aunty Lillian would come up from Maryland to celebrate Christmas with us. I recall wondering if she would stay with my mom and I, or be sleeping over with my cousins, Larry and Ken. I think I got the best of that deal since I was the youngest. For the longest time I had the belief that Aunty Lillian was actually Wonder Woman. As I would usually only see her during Christmas. I would sit in front of the TV waiting for Wonder Woman to air so I could see my aunt. To my dismay when I could actually read the credits to only find out that Aunty Lillian’s name was replaced by Lynda Carter. I learned quickly to not try to convince my aunt of a difference view point once she has committed to a stance on a subject. With all her years on Capitol Hill I never talked politics as I knew that would be a losing battle. Countless moves into Sunrise, from Sunrise, into Atria, from Atria, to the Gables, from the Gables only to arrive back at the original Sunrise location. Each move it seems there was more to move even though the apartments were getting smaller. To-do lists…..I quickly found out my mom must have learned this from Aunty as I always had a running list of things to do on my visits with Aunty. I think they had a sisterly competition to see whose list could be the longest. As we say good-bye today, I will anxiously wait to see my aunt again one day, the original Wonder Woman to me.
