Obituary of Elinor Tighe

Elinor M. Tighe, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Saturday evening, August 25, 2007. She was 87 years old. Elinor was the oldest of five children born to the late Edward and Katherine Tighe. She was born in Marlborough and moved to Woburn when she was 10 years old. She graduated from St. Charles School in 1938 and was a longtime member of St. Charles Parish. Elinor was employed for over 27 years at Hanscom Air Force Base as a Buyer. Elinor is the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Katherine Tighe. She is the loving sister of the late Lawrence, John, Mary and James Tighe. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn on Wednesday, August 29 at 12:30 PM. A visiting hour will be held from 11 – 12 Noon at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side). Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
