Kwaku,
This is Evelyn from Pomfret-- I'm thinking of you tonight, halfway across the world here in Bangkok, Thailand.
I just learned about your passing from seeing Pomfret's Class of 2010 Facebook page, and my heart is heavy. I know you transitioned six months ago. But I still wanted to post a tribute to you. I fondly remember your kindness, your intelligence, and your warmth.
You were were a kind presence when I had my lonely moments at school. We sat next to each other during our entire junior year during our U.S. history class. You were one of the most intelligent people I knew and had the honor of getting to know. I send my love to you, Kwasi, and the rest of your family.

Dear Kwaku,
I am in shock and deeply saddened! I'll treasure all the moments we had: eating together, laughing, discussing and even going to class or taking time to do p-sets. It pains me to say that I may never see you again and especially having to learn about you leaving us via class mail. We were extremely blessed and supremely lucky to have you around. We'll miss you Budd! All of us! In the whole wide world, you were one of the best people one could ever find in a friend - Look upon us with a smile old pal! You are sorely missed!

To Kwaku’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was friends with Kwaku through Princeton Christian Fellowship. The kindness that Kwaku showed to me and other students truly reflected that of Jesus Christ. I will remember him as someone who sought to serve and not be served. One beautiful way that he served was through prayer—Kwaku was dedicated to praying for those around him and for the world, reflecting a deep faith in the Lord. I am thankful to have known Kwaku, and I will be praying for his family and loved ones, as Kwaku prayed for so many others.

Dear Offei-Addo family,
I'm deeply saddened to hear about your loss. I overlapped with Kwaku in the Korennykh lab at Princeton. I can say on behalf of the lab that we were very lucky to get to know a student with such a calm and inspiring diligence as Kwaku. He was hard working and full of potential. Princeton can be so demanding sometimes; it is indeed noteworthy that he came back and took it to completion.
Wishing you all the strength and warmth in a cushion of happier memories with Kwaku.
With care,

Every morning on Aburi Old Girls' Class of 82 Whats App Platform Rosina our sister and friend sends us inspirational messages from the bible especially Psalms and Proverbs. On 22nd June 2018 as her routine we read "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and his steadfast love endures forever Psalm 136:1. God has spoke . He took Kwaku, our oldest son home last night ........... " we received the message with shock and disbelief . Till today all that is being discussed on our platform are condolences messages for our dear sister Rosina, Sammy, Kwasi, Tim and Abigail.
We in Ghana would have been there to mourn with you but the distance will not permit us physically but we are with you in our prayers. We pray that the good Lord will strengthen and be with you and your lovely family in this difficult time. We pray that the Lord comfort ,bless and keep you in this difficulty time .
Kwaku, the good lord gave you such a loving parents, Sammy and Rosina who nurtured you into a great man. You enjoyed a loving home with your siblings Kwasi, Tim and Abigail. You had loving uncles like Percy, Kwasi, and Ken. Your loving aunties like Pearl, Regina, Vera and Aburi Old Girls' Class of 82. We all love you and now the good Lord who loves you best says come and rest. Kwaku you have fought the good fight, Kwaku you have finished the race, Kwaku you have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for you which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to you.
Kwaku, God be with you till we meet again.
"Jesus, lover of my soul,
Let me to Thy bosom fly,
While the nearer waters roll,
While the tempest still is high:
Hide me, O my Savior, hide,
Till the storm of life is past;
Safe into the haven guide;
O receive my soul at last."

I remember Kweku as an active and vibrant little boy. I met Kweku again at Kotoka international Airport when his father, Sammy was seeing him off. He was going back to United States from Ghana. I clearly remember a joke Sammy was sharing with Kweku about barbecuing. Later his father was confirming to me Kweku's love for barbecuing. It is so heart-breaking to have heard of his passing at such a young age but God knows best and Kweku is in a better place. My heart felt condolences go to Sammy, Rosina and the entire Offei-Addo family. May he rest in perfect peace

I still remember my visit to my dear friend Rosina at East Legon, in Accra, Ghana. Kwaku was a baby then, and I remember the photo we took of him and my daughter, both of them in diapers. I'm not surprised Kwaku grew up loving the Lord; with a mother like Rosina how could you not love the Lord? Sammy and Rosie, I know this is a great loss, but the Lord you serve continuously day and night will comfort and heal you from the pain. It is well.

What an extraordinary young man the world lost! His life touched many people and he left an indelible mark. This much loved man will be sorely missed. To his family: we grieve with you, but as you already know, not as the world grieves. We grieve with hope and with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Our Lord will wipe every tear from your eyes. He will redeem the pain. But for now, the pain is excruciating! May you continue to seek comfort in the only true comforter. You are much loved.

Two passages come to mind when I think of my junior year roommate. The first is Proverbs 22:29:
“Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.”
Everything I saw Kwaku did was excellent. No matter the subject, from science to art, I think of Kwaku meticulously and quietly doing his work excellently to the glory of his Father.
But the second passage is Proverbs 25:6-7:
“Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence, and do not claim a place among his great men; it is better for him to say to you, ‘Come up here,’ than for him to humiliate you before his nobles.”
Despite his excellence. Kwaku never boasted. He never called attention to himself. He rarely even asked for help. He was a man of true humility.
I miss Kwaku — he was one of the kindest and best men I’ve ever met. But I know that, even now, he is standing before his King, and his King is calling, “Come up here.” Earth’s loss is truly heaven’s gain.
Kwaku — I can’t wait to see you again.
