Obituary of Elizabeth C. Balestrieri

Elizabeth C. (Maiocchi) Balestrieri passed away at the Pheasant Wood Nursing Home in Peterborough, New Hampshire on Thursday morning, July 5, 2018. The wife of the late Adam A. Balestrieri, she was 92 years old. Elizabeth was born in the family home in Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth Maiocchi. Elizabeth attended school in Woburn since there were no schools in Burlington at that time. After her marriage Elizabeth lived in the Winnmere section of Burlington. She worked at the local IGA Supermarket in Woburn as a Meat Cutter, before transferring to Purity Supreme in Salem Nh for many years. She enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved to spoil. Elizabeth especially enjoyed taking them on trips to Hedgehog Pond in Salem where they enjoyed many special times together. Elizabeth was the wife of the late Adam Balestrieri. She was the mother of Lucienne Mohnach & her husband Michael of New York and the late Anthony. Sister of the late George Maiocchi, John Maiocchi and Helen Orlando. Grandmother of Heather Devlin of Burlington, Toni Landry of Canterbury, New Hampshire and Jennifer Dodge of Raymond, New Hampshire. Elizabeth is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Wednesday, July 11 from 5-7 p.m. Concluding with Funeral Services at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
