Obituary of Francis Sabatino
Francis A. Sabatino, age 88, died peacefully with his family by his side on 11 July 2018 at St. Antoine’s Residence in North Smithfield, RI.
Francis was formerly from Burlington, MA and Sebastian, FL before residing near children in RI. Francis is survived by his wife, Louise E. (Freniere), of 66 years. Francis and Louise had four children, Alan and his wife, Denise, of Seabrook, NH, Kenneth and his wife, Marguerite, of Westford, MA, Michael and his wife, Monique, of Providence, RI and Sharon and her husband, Eric, of Lincoln, RI. They have 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Francis cherished his family and was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
Francis was born on 15 April 1930 in Somerville, MA to Angelo and Mary (DeGregorio). He is survived by his siblings; Beatrice (Albert) Conti of Burlington, MA, Edward (Carolyn) Sabatino of Winchester, VA, and Annette (Anthony) Deloia of Burlington, MA. He graduated from Bentley College with a degree in Accounting. He worked for Spear Trucking, in Billerica, MA, Plymouth Rock, in Reading MA, and as an independent accountant until his retirement to Florida. Francis completed taxes for many people throughout his years. Francis is a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was active in the Burlington, MA Chapter. Francis and Louise lived 20 years in Sebastian, FL traveling the world and enjoying the fruits of their labor. They were very active at their parish, St Sebastian’s, where Francis sat on the Parish Finance Council and volunteered for many parish activities.
Francis’s passion in life was his love of family and his soul mate of 66 years, Louise. He loved nothing more than a family gathering on the holidays or an Italian Sunday dinner with Louise and their family they created including extended family and friends. His love of Louise was felt and seen every day by friends and family. Whether a kiss on the cheek, attending daily mass or a trip to Walmart, they lived every day as if it was their wedding day. A story book marriage from 15 years of age to eternity.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Monday, July 16 at 9 a.m. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington, MA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Sebastian’s Church 67 Cole Avenue Providence, RI 02906 Thursday July 19 at 10:00 am.
