Obituary of Jorge de Paiva Arini

Jorge de Paiva Arini, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Laconia just a week after the death of his older brother Eduardo. Jorge was 63 years old. Jorge was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His childhood was spent living in both the United States and Brazil. He lived in Somerville when from age 5 to 7. His family then returned to Brazil until he was 11. The Arini family came back to Somerville and Jorge graduated from Somerville High School. Jorge worked as a Mechanic on both cars and boats. His most recent job was at Robbins Auto Parts in Laconia. Working as a mechanic was a perfect job for Jorge as he had a passion for cars and anything with an engine. He had a magic touch when it came to working on engines. Jorge owned a Corvette that he took great pride in. He loved to just spend hours working on his Corvette keeping it in mint condition. Jorge also had a love for music and was a talented musician. It brings Jorge’s family deep sadness at his passing just a week after his brother Eduardo. Jorge was the beloved son of Maria Dolores de Paiva Arini of Burlington and the late Antonio. Loving brother of Roberto Arini of Somerville and the late Eduardo Arini. Brother-in-law of Linda (Manning) Arini of Medford. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Monday, July 30 at 12:30 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial to follow in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers memorials in Jorge’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
