Obituary of Elaine Boudros

Elaine C. Boudros, a resident of Burlington for 57 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, August 6, 2018. She was 84 years old. Elaine was born and raised in Medford. She was one of seven children born to Michael and Sarah Robbat. She was a graduate of Medford High School. She married Michael Boudros and they eventually settled in Burlington in 1961 where they raised their five children. Elaine chose to remain home with her children and create a warm and loving atmosphere that kept her family close together. She kept all of her family’s hectic schedules and needs in check and under control. She seemed to effortlessly work, clean, cook, chauffeur, counsel, encourage, console, and care for her family when they were sick, had a cut, scrape or bruise, or any other issue. Managing any task or situation was just her norm. She accomplished it all by always placing her family’s needs first. She loved when she became a “Grammy”. She was so excited as each grandchild was born. Elaine even welcomed the next generation with the birth of her great granddaughter, Aubrey. She cherished every moment with her family whether it was going out to eat, vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee, Florida, or Maine, or just sharing special occasions, holidays, and family celebrations with all those she loved. Elaine also enjoyed the occasional self-indulgences like shopping, playing Bingo, and spending time tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Elaine was the wife of the late Michael Boudros. She was the loving mother of Kathy Laforge & her husband Mark of Tyngsboro, Diane Boudros of Burlington, Michelle Aster & her husband Dave of Fitchburg, Michael Boudros & his wife Dawn of Derry, NH and Robert Boudros & his wife Michele of Billerica. Sister of the late Alice Medwar, Helen Matook, George, Joseph, Charles, and Albert Robbat. She was the proud grandmother of Sarah, Mark and Greg LaForge, Roy Hellmer, Zac, Zoe and Oliver Aster, Melina and Mike Boudros and Abby and Bobby Boudros. She was the great grandmother of Aubrey Hellmer. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Thursday, August 9 from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Pine Haven Cemetery, 86 Bedford Street, Burlington on Friday, August 10 at Noon.
