Obituary of Susanjo Caira

Susanjo (Leavy) Caira passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on Saturday morning, August 11, 2018 with her family by her side. The beloved wife of Brian Caira she was just 54 years old.

Sue was born in Malden. She was raised and educated in Melrose and a 1981 graduate of Melrose High School. It was while working at her first job out of high school that she would meet her future husband Brian. They married on September 25, 1988. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year. Sue and Brian settled in Wakefield where they would raise their two children Robert and Elise.

Sue worked as an Office Manager for Sloane Valve Company. She was the “go to” person handling human resources, payroll, patterns and accounting responsibilities. Her energetic personality always brought a light to the office.

Sue, Brian and their two children enjoyed camping when the children were young and vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee. As a family they enjoyed a number of Caribbean cruises together. Sue and Brian also loved taking motorcycle trips to such locations as Laconia and various other destinations within New England. But she loved no place more than just being on her deck surrounded by her flowers.

Sue was a people person, but also a fighter that inspired so many around her. She could strike up a conversation with anyone. Her lively and upbeat personality made her fun to be around. She was very proud of her daughter Elise and the company that she founded “Sweatfixx” so much that Sue started working out at “Sweatfixx” four or five times a week! Sue was also blessed to become a grandmother to her son Bob’s two children Gianna and Dante.

Sue left this world much too soon at the age of 54. Sue will be remembered as a generous woman with a caring and selfless heart who had tremendous love for her family.

Sue was the beloved wife of Brian and loving mother of Robert of Melrose and Elise of Wakefield. Proud grandmother of Gianna & Dante. Daughter of Ralph & Angelina Leavy of Melrose. Sister of the late Michael Leavy. Daughter-in-law of Attilio & Barbara Caira of Burlington. Sister-in-law of Laurene & Eric Beaudette of Lexington and Jeffrey Caira & Donna Weadick of Pelham, NH.
