Obituary of Kara Malatesta
Kara Marie Malatesta passed away suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 30 years old.
Kara was born in Winchester and was a lifelong resident of Burlington. She was a graduate of Burlington High School Class of 1995. She had worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at both the Winchester Hospital and Lahey Clinic Medical Center. She also worked as a Home Health Aid which gave her great satisfaction to care for the elderly. She loved children and her many cousins. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on Plum Island. She was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Kara was the beloved daughter of Edward and Carol (Whitman) Malatesta of Burlington. She was the sister of Thomas Malatesta of Burlington and grand daughter of Louise Malatesta of Burlington, Edwin Whitman of Ft. Meyers, FL, the late Alfred Malatesta and Agnes Whitman. She was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
