Obituary of Carolyn Falzone

Carolyn Falzone, whose generosity, and love touched all hearts who knew her, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018. In her final days, surrounded by family and friends, Carol continued to view life in the optimistic spirit she radiated. As manager of the Sleep Disorder Center at Winchester Hospital, Carol was known as a teacher, friend and mentor to her staff. Patients admired her for her warmth, and compassion, often contacting her after service to praise her for her care. She was funny and loved to laugh, contagious in her desire to live life to its fullest. For the last 2 years of her life, Carol fought hard against a cancer diagnosis which she refused to give in to. She continued to participate in the things she loved: travel, photography, music, movies, and her time with family and friends. As the ultimate caregiver, Carol always took the opportunity to let people know she was there for them, and that they mattered. She inspired us with kindness, positivity, strength, and most importantly, the motivation to do more for others. As a friend recently said, “If our purpose here on earth is to leave it a better place, Carol has succeeded greatly”. Carol was the beloved sister to Christine Tullius, Alexander Falzone and Charles Falzone, brother-in-law to Dr. Stefan Tullius, sister-in-law to Karen Falzone, aunt to Chiara & Alessio Tullius, Trisha Leaman, Alexander, Joseph and Anthony Falzone. Our hearts break with her absence. A memorial service to honor her will be announced shortly. Donations in her memory may be made to Rosie’s Place, Boston MA.
