Obituary of Holley Christiansen Barbieri

Holley Christiansen Barbieri, a life long resident of Burlington, passed away at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. She was 40 years old. Holley was born in Winchester. She was raised and educated in Burlington. She was a 1985 graduate of Burlington High School and then went on to receive her Nursing Degree from Salem State College. Holley had a very rewarding career in nursing working at the Union Hospital, Salem Hospital, Lynn Hospital, Lahey Clinic and for the past three years she had worked at Winchester Hospital. Holley had also worked as an EMT. Holley and her husband Paul settled in Burlington after their marriage and continued to live in the same neighborhood that she grew up in that was filled with many loving family members and friends. Holley was a devoted mother to her two sons Paul Steven who is 7 and Joseph who is 6. She also had a special relationship with her parents and her sister Ellen and brother Bill. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Holley was the beloved wife of Paul Barbieri. She was the loving mother of Paul Steven and Joseph Barbieri. She was the beloved daughter of Arnold & Audrey (Holley) Christiansen of Burlington. She was the sister of William Christiansen & his wife Julianna of Weston and Ellen & her husband Larry Mikulski of Burlington. She was the daughter-in-law of Salvatore & Catherine Barbieri of Bedford. She was also survived by my loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 3-8 p.m. Interment in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
