Obituary of Janice Jones

Janice H. Jones, A retired teacher, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Friday afternoon, December 7, 2007. She was 70 years old. Janice was born in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late John and Helen Manning. She grew up and was educated in Binghamton. She received her B.S. Degree from the State University of New York in Albany. She taught for a while, but then put her career on hold to raise her family. She raised her family in Ridgefield, CT. When her daughter went off to College she went back to College to receive her Masters Degree in education. She taught ESL (English as a Second Language) at Lowell High in Lowell, MA for 16 years. Her students were from all over the world and she loved helping them assimilate the English language and way of life. It gave her great joy to see her “Kids” graduate from High School and become contributing members of the community. Her retirement years were spent in Merrimack, NH. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader. Janice traveled extensively with her husband Bob all over the world. She loved being with her family and seeing her children succeed and watching her grandchildren grow up. Janice is the beloved wife of Robert A. She is the loving mother of Robert & his wife Theresa of Munroe, OH and Karen & her husband Martin Nemeth of Flemington, NJ. She is the sister of Barbara Bruno of Grosse Pointe, MI. Grandmother of Christina & Jennifer Jones of Framingham, MA and Allison, Benjamin, and Jack Nemeth of Flemington, NJ. Funeral Services will be private.
