Robert D. Paul a resident of Chelmsford, and former resident of Belmont, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning, December 25, 2007. The husband of the late Carol (Bryant) he was 72 years old. Mr. Paul was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the son of the late Dr. Peter and Minnie Paul. He was raised and educated in Woodstock, Canada. After High School, he served in the Canadian Army. At the age of 20, he moved to the United States. Mr. Paul had a successful career as an Ornamental Steel Iron Worker. He was a great athlete and played semi-pro baseball. He also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whether it be cooking a meal for them or telling one of famous stories. Mr. Paul was the beloved husband of the late Carol (Bryant). He was the loving father of Bradford Paul & his wife Beth of Groton, Robert Paul & his wife Lynn of Chelmsford, and Rayna & her husband Richard Sacca of Belmont. He was the stepfather of Richard Hydren & his wife Sharon of Rowley. He was the brother of Donna Doak of MA, Reggie Paul, Diane Darrah, Carol Polchies, Billy Paul, Darrell Paul, Wanda Porter all of Canada and the late Rena Sappier. Mr. Paul was also survived by 7 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, May 18th at 3:00 p.m. at the Town of Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Road, North Chelmsford.
